Dianella tasmanica ‘Cherry Red’ PBR

APPEARANCE : Graceful growing native flowering grass with bright green arching leaves with striking cherry red leaf bases. Tiny blue flowers on long stems in later winter-spring; followed by oval purple-blue berries in summer.
USE FOR :Mass plantings, underplanting, rockeries, borders.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade in the garden. Plant in well-drained to moist soil; happy in most clay, loam, or sandy soils. Frost tolerant but might need protecting from salty sea winds. Tasmanica dianellas are more tolerant of shade, wet and cooler temperatures than other dianellas.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Feed with low phosphorus fertiliser for native plants in early spring or late summer.
