Tough and hardy, with good cool-weather colour in russet-spice shades – ideal if you’re missing the seasons in your subtropical garden, and frost-tolerant if you’re further south. Nandina ‘Gulf Stream’
DESCRIPTION: Colourful foliage plant with shades of russet, bronze, gold and blue-green through the seasons. Compact size, dense, and neat delicate leaves.
USES: Ideal for hedges and borders for a splash of contrasting colour. Suitable for pots. Clips low to 0.5m
PLANTING: Plant in full sun for more foliage colour. Will grow in part shade too. Drought and frost resistant to -10C. Mulch and water well until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE: Remove old foliage and prune yearly to encourage dense growth habit. Apply mulch and slow release fertiliser during spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: around 0.7m H x 1m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tube-stock plants, with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 42 mm wide and 80 mm high.
