Sublime is a bright vibrant green lilly pilly tree which also makes a fantastic privacy screen hedge as it is bushy all the way down the trunk. It’s tall and slender, and the flufy white early-summer flowers almost never produce berries – which means it’s ideal for gardens near bushland.

Hardy, pretty drought tolerant once established, and will come through a light overnight frost.

Acmena smithii, Syzygium smithii DOW30 ‘Sublime”™ – lilly pilly
APPEARANCE : The parent species is a tall rainforest tree with white fluffy flowers; . Sublime is a bright lime-green form, leafy all down the trunk, which rarely produces berries. Psyllid resistant.
ORIGIN : Native, parent species is found on the east coast from Port Douglas FNQ to Wilson’s Promontory VIC
USE FOR : Shade tree, wildlife gardens, bush tucker. Fire resistant plant.
PLANTING : Suitable to most areas of Australia. Stands up to sun and shade, drought and frost.
CARE: Mulch with chunky mulch and water well, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser during autumn and spring. Prune yearly if you want a neat outline, otherwise needs no pruning.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 5 m H or taller x 1-3 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide; some plants may be in taller pots.
